Who We Are

Beth Moshe Congregation in North Miami represents exactly what its name means (Beth) a house. Over the last 25 years, Beth Moshe has emerged as a synagogue with all the qualities of a home. Each member is part of an extended family, filled with a warm sense of belonging which nourishes the need to feel connected – physically, spiritually and emotionally. All ages blend to plan and attend events, its school, Jewish programs, Torah classes, Shabbat dinners and many diverse programs which are the foundation that brings the community together. Friends gather here for meetings and attend services where attire is casual, we study Torah, and partner together in Chessed/charity projects that teach the essence of Judaism.
Beth Moshe Congregation is filled with generations of South Florida families whose roots and traditional values are the core of the Synagogue’s mission to not only bring Torah and Judaism to the community, but live by the virtues that it teaches. Everyone is welcome and no one is turned away or excluded.
Beth Moshe is going through a tremendous resurgence, with a thriving early childhood program, overflowing Hebrew School and a beautiful new addition to its facility. Our doors are open as we welcome you to join our family.

The Beth Moshe family is an eclectic mix, as so many families are today. Ritually and theologically we come from a range of observant, Conservative and Reform backgrounds. Some of our members are Holocaust survivors or children of Holocaust survivors. Our congregation includes all ages, from young singles and married couples with children, to people in their 80s and 90s. We have many multi-generational families.
Many of our members attended Hebrew School here, had their Bar or Bat Mitzvah here, were married here and have loved ones who were buried by Rabbi Lang. Many of them send their children to our Early Childhood Center (18 Months through Kindergarten).
We are egalitarian and welcome intermarried and same-sex couples. We take our Jewish obligation seriously to help those in need of healing, assistance, guidance and a welcoming home. We believe in sharing our simchas and our sorrows. We have a genuine atmosphere within our synagogue of love, inclusion, acceptance and trust – for which we thank Rabbi Jory Lang.
Our Friday night service is full of joyous song. Our Saturday service is an opportunity to pray together, study Torah together and learn about our history and religious customs. We are, like Abraham’s tent, open to all.
